If you thought Jamelia’s latest single ‘Something About You’ was pretty good, just wait ‘til you hear what she has in store on her new album ‘Walk With Me’!
The sassy diva’s third album sees her on her finest form yet, with a huge haul of fantastic tracks. There’s some ultra-funky tracks, such as ‘Window Shopping’ - which samples ‘Are You Being Served?’s’ Mrs Slocombe believe it or not! – and ‘Hustle’, which will get you shaking that booty, plus some cool retro-style tunes, such as ‘Know My Name’ with its Eighties synth-pop rhythms and the soulful gospel-style ‘Go’. She even uses sampling to create two brilliant tunes – the Stranglers ‘Golden Brown’ is mashed into ‘No More’ and, bizarrely, it works, while ‘Beware Of The Dog’ uses Depeche Mode’s ‘Personal Jesus’ to create a tough-edged funky assed tune which is simply terrific.
A definite must-buy!
