Ards Arts Centre is the Arts Service of Ards and North Down Borough Council and provides an extensive programme of arts events including: creative classes and workshops, exhibitions, community arts, and performances of live music, dance, and drama.
Our programme also features festivals; including the annual Ards International Guitar Festival, Ards International Puppet Festival, Aspects Irish Literature Festival, and Creative Peninsula!
Ards Arts Centre is the beautifully restored Georgian Town Hall in the centre of Newtownards.
Two galleries host exhibitions by professional local, national and international artists and community arts initiatives.
Some performance events in our programme take advantage of other suitable venues throughout the Borough.




Arts & Culture Panel
The Londonderry Room is a beautifully restored Georgian function room named after Lord Londonderry, whose portrait dominates the gable wall. This room is suited to meetings, conferences, talks, live music, functions and weddings. Maximum capacity 100.
The Studio is a multi-purpose room ideal for more hands-on arts & crafts classes, talks or meetings. Maximum capacity 30.
Room 1 lends itself to meetings, classes, seminars and talks. Maximum capacity 30.
The Boardroom is a more formal meeting room permanently set for a capacity of approximately 20 in typical boardroom style.
A Kitchen is also available to hire in conjunction with your desired meeting room.
