Belvoir Studio Theatre is a versatile, creative space located in south Belfast with the aim to host and produce a wide range of theatre and entertainment from large scale musicals to small, intimate one act dramas and stand up comedy nights. We have a programme of events happening all year round with more information available on our website.
The theatre is home to Belvoir Players Amateur Dramatic Society, our adult members who take part in several of our own productions every year such as our Annual Pantomime in December and our Summer comedy tour. The theatre stands on the hard work and talent from all the members who volunteer their time and skills to all aspects of theatre production.

The Theatre Academy
We offer a Unique Theatre Academy for children aged 5-18. This academy offers some of the best training in Ulster for young aspiring actors and also encourages our youth members to be active members of the community and offers a safe environment for the children to develop as people as well as actors.
Many of the Academy Graduates have gone on to various stage schools and universities throughout the UK to continue their studies not only in acting but also in technical theatre.
An exciting development was the expansion of our Youth Academy. Now, with our own facilities, we are able to provide opportunities for more and more young people to participate in the performing arts. The annual pantomime at Christmas which had traditionally been the performance opportunity was added to by our annual Youth Production in June to mark the anniversary of the opening of the studio. Productions of Annie; The Wizard of Oz.; Oliver; Bugsy Malone and My Fair Lady followed in succeeding years and in 2006 an entirely youth mounted production, directed by, stage managed and lit by members of the youth group of Have a Nice Day was staged in the studio. Currently we have a membership of some 250 young people between the ages of 5 and 16 and a waiting list of over 20 waiting in the wings.

The Studio
Belvoir Players Studio is situated in the Belvoir estate in Belfast, Northern Ireland where the Belvoir Players rehearse and perform. This facility provides an excellent venue for a large variety of activities and is home to a number of other groups including the Belfast branch of the U3A, the Studio Symphony Orchestra, and many others.
The studio’s main hall can seat up to 200 people and the seating bank can be retracted to allow for use of a much larger space during rehearsals for large productions. The design of the hall allows for it to be adapted to suit the particular needs of the event that is coming in, meaning that the studio can be used for many events ranging from theatre shows to parties to conferences.
The studio also helps support local groups around Belfast such as the Belfast U3A, a group dedicated to creating activities and social opportunities for pensioners, by providing affordable spaces and support to host many of their activities.
