Enniskillen – The Island Town
In the words of one former Enniskillen resident Oscar Wilde -Â "I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best."
Â
And the best is what you get in Enniskillen. The best of welcomes, hospitality, food, drink, experiences and much more.
Â
Food and Drink Tour
The Enniskillen Taste Experience is new to the Island town, and will take you on a taste sensation like no other. Enjoy a guided trip around Enniskillen, stopping at various locations to sample an indulgent mix of food and drink. The tour will also include a few alcoholic beverages, so it's best to leave the car keys behind!
Unique Eating Experiences
Happy Tapas in Enniskillen is something you won’t have experienced before. Offering a variety of vegan and vegetarian food, they have all the bases covered. Their latest offering is an array of Vegetarian Tapas, dishes that are created with passion and the belief that a night out for a meal should be an experience to be enjoyed but also remembered.
28 Darling Street is a fine dining experience in Enniskillen, and offers the perfect atmosphere to relax, kick back and enjoy a memorable dining experience. Combining exquisite food with excellent service; proprieter Glen Wheeler, who recently appeared on BBC2’s Great British Menu, takes his 14 years experience as Neven Maguire’s Head Chef and pours it into every dish on the menu.
On the Water
Experience the Enniskillen Blueways Water Activity Zone this summer and create your own mini adventure as you captain your own ‘Wee Red Boat’. Paddle board through the Island Town or discover Enniskillen from a new perspective on board your own canoe or kayak. Alternatively, hail a high speed guided taxi tour and sit back, relax and take in the stunning views from beyond the shore.
Gin Distillery Tour
Every trip requires a sneaky gin! The Boatyard Distillery is an award-winning farm-to-bottle distillery located on the banks of Lough Erne. Experience a behind the scenes tour of this fascinating distillery, and discover the unique creation of the Boatyard products and how they stem from and are produced right here in Fermanagh.
Live Music and Nightlife
Enniskillen punches above its weight when it comes to local music talent. With live music on every night during the summer, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Blake’s of the Hollow is one of the most famous and well-recognised Victorian pubs in Ireland. It is a must see attraction, which has graced Fermanagh’s shores for over 125 years and is now home to one of the world famous ‘Door of Thrones’. Stop in for a pint of the black stuff and experience a traditional Enniskillen welcome!
Outdoors
There are a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy whilst visiting Enniskillen, and the two most famous are the Marble Arch Caves and the Cuilcagh Mountain, ‘The Stairway to Heaven’. Why not investigate with a Jeep Safari or get the good Fermanagh air into your lungs with a mountain climb?
