Forest Fitness is a fun unique way to get fit and healthy indoor and the great outdoors. Some of our training is centered around our purpose built assault course located in the forest. Other locations are in local community centers and Carrick Boxing club.
We cater for all fitness levels with beginners and intermediate training with various types of exercise like mud runs, circuits, HIIT (high intensity interval training), boxercise, combat PT, group runs, fit families (no more excuses mum and dad!!).
Forest Fitness is a great way to connect with family, old friends and even make new friends. This is not your typical class or gym session… it’s an experience.


Classes
HIIT
High-intensity interval training (HIIT), is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, and until too exhausted to continue.
BoxFit
A Cardiovascular/Strength workout with classes lasting between 45 mins to one hour. And It is based on the training used for boxing so it includes skipping, boxing drills including footwork and abdominal workouts all focusing on fitness and toning.
Kettlebells
Truly give pumping iron (or should I say, swinging iron) a whole new meaning! With Russian roots dating back to the early 1700s, They are cast iron weights that resemble a cannonball with a handle. They’re lifted using a swinging motion to provide a total body workout.
Strength
Strength Training. Classes build endurance and develop coordination and balance. You can expect to use a variety of different equipment such as weights, bands, balls and other tools to get stronger and leaner.
Tabata
We love Tabata interval workouts. It’s four minutes of high-intensity training, alternating between 20 seconds of max training followed by a 10-second rest for a total of eight rounds. So these workouts are fast-paced and fun and burn up tons of calories 30 minute workout.
Legs, Bums & Tums
Tones and sculpts Legs and Bum! Strengthen Core! Great for Runners and Cycles looking to add a bit of sports specific training to there routine. Our ‘Legs, Bums and Tums’ classes are a fun filled way to help tone those wobbly bits. These classes are particularly popular with our women members who are keen to improve their overall body shape.
Run Club
Suitable for beginners and child friendly too!! Our Athletics NI Leaders in running fitness will help you reach your goals and help you increase your personal best in a team environment.
Bootcamp
The combination of a team atmosphere, intense full-body cardiovascular and srength workouts and fitness education make boot camp weight loss programs very effective at reducing excess body weight, improving cardiovascular endurance, increasing lean muscle mass and improving overall coordination and balance. And also a chance to get mucky!!


Activities
Assault Course
An obstacle course is a series of challenging physical obstacles an individual or team must navigate usually while being timed. So our obstacle course includes running, climbing, jumping, crawling, swimming, and balancing elements with the aim of testing speed and endurance, also fun at the same time!!

Archery Tag
The game’s rules closely resemble dodgeball. Game begin with a number of arrows in the center of the arena. At the whistle, players race to collect them, before firing them at one another across the playing field. A player is eliminated if struck by an arrow, and a player can bring an eliminated teammate back into play by catching an arrow.

Bush Craft
Why not give your children the Bear Grylls experience, Bootcamps, BushCraft were we will be foraging, Shelter building and wild cooking!!! Nerf Wars, Soft archery and much more! Why keep them locked up inside, let them out to discover nature. Suitable for 7 years plus. All our instructors are child protection and Access NI certified.

A Nerf War is an activity involving Nerf Blasters or other foam-firing toy weapons. Nerf wars can be a wide range of games, from informal shootouts in offices and basements to well-organised outdoor or indoor battles with our Nerf blasters. With Fun and exciting games roll play.
