with Blackbird & Crow | Delta Fuse |Harks |Dolbro Dan

Blackbird and Crow – Maighread Ni Ghrasta (vocals) and Stephen Doohan (guitar/bouzouki/stomp) – are best described musically as Janis Joplin meets Ry Cooder with a sprinkling of early-era Fleetwood Mac. They return to The Ghostlight (their previous visit having received a rapturous reception) with the imminent release of their second album and having just completed a tour of Germany and the Netherlands supporting Scottish folk/rock group Big Country.

Four band Delta Fuse deliver the blues in their own inimitable style – a dark, driving throttle which captures a sound filled with rawness and soul as they sing about blues, booze and love.

Co. Tyrone based 4 piece Harks are currently working on their debut EP What Time Do You Call This? Lead vocalist Glen Harkin is a regular on the North West music circuit. Winner of the Summer Jamm busking festival and featuring on the DC Life IN A Northern Town, he’s also performed for Children In Need.

Belfast-born singer/songwriter Dolbro Dan first surfaced in 2008 with his full-length album ‪Singin’ Homemade Music – and single When Bob Was Still A Boy in particular – catching ‪the attention of local tastemakers Alternative Ulster. Mixing satirical musings with a rustic alt-folk delivery, his hard hitting harmonica driven acoustic material has been likened to Arlo Guthrie or early Bob Dylan.
