After nearly five decades as one of Belfast’s leading music venues hosting some of the finest local, national & international talent to come through Northern Ireland, the Mandela Hall is set to hold it’s last ever live concert on Friday 27th July 2018 before the Student’s Union building closes for major redevelopment this Summer.

Split over 2 stages, the final gig will feature a range of both well known and emerging local talent including And So I Watch You From Afar, Mojo Fury, Robocobra Quartet, David C Clements, Ryan Vail, Arvo Party [live debut], Junk Drawer, Bitch Falcon, Cherym and more.

First known as the McMordie Hall (before being renamed Mandela Hall in 1986), the 1000 capacity venue has hosted some incredible live acts over the years including U2, The Clash, Korn, Ed Sheeran, Slash, Snow Patrol, Calvin Harris, Two Door Cinema Club, Nile Rogers, Deftones, Mumford & Sons and hundreds more.

Doors open at 6:30pm with show starting at 7pm sharp. Tickets priced £15 (+bf) on sale from Ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets from 10am on Friday 22nd June.

It’s not all doom and gloom though as the Students’ Union Bars & Entertainments team will continue to deliver live gigs & comedy shows in the Elmwood Hall just across the road as well as opening a brand new Speakeasy bar & club on the corner of Lisburn Road and Elmwood Avenue, with both in operation from September 2018.
