For a unique concert in Belfast, the Hot Strings Quartet brings you the best Gypsy Jazz from Ireland. They will wow you with the virtuosity of their improvisations, and draw you to the dance-floor with their irresistible swing.

In 1930’s Paris, Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli started playing Hot Jazz and Big Band Swing as a small string ensemble known as the Quintette du Hot Club de France. Their music, which became known as Gypsy Jazz, has experienced a revival throughout the world in recent years.
Wanting to showcase the best Gypsy Jazz from Ireland, Nicolas Deschatrettes, from the Belfast band Manouche, is bringing together some of the best musicians from the island as the Hot Strings Quartet for a unique concert at the Black Box.
For one night only, Fintan Gilligan (g), Ruddy Bado (v), Jose Carlos Anselmo (b) and Nicolas Deschatrettes (g) will wow you with the virtuosity of their improvisations, and draw you to the dance-floor with their irresistible swing.
