THE INDIANS

A big Riverside welcome-back for this ensemble of talented, Irish musicians

THE INDIANS are regarded as one of the most entertaining bands in Ireland and they make their return visit to the Riverside Theatre, Coleraine on Saturday 14th. November. “We are delighted to have them back” reports theatre manager Jeremy Lewis. “Last year we had a packed house”!

Special guest with The Indians, on the night, will be the original Big Chief Flaming Star (Noel Brady). Flaming Star is no stranger to Coleraine, having played with The Indians in the Salmon Leap, the Lodge Hotel, The Bohill Hotel and the Bushtown House, for many great years. Big Chief Flaming Star must have lots of stories to tell from the past. He’ll surely be in dynamic form when he meets up with his old friends, back in one of his favourite areas. Hear him sing all of your favourite Indians songs. Other original members still appearing with The Indians are Crazy Horse (Brian Woodfull) and Sitting Bull (Eamonn Keane).

Dressed in their colourful Western Indian outfits, the Indians have been all over the UK and Ireland for over four decades and in that time there have been very few changes in their lineup.

“BIG CHIEF” Geronimo (Raymond Kelly) is the current lead singer, and is regarded as one of the finest front men in the business. When BIG CHIEF sings, everybody listens. He is blessed to have been gifted with a voice to perform any style of song and make it his own. Dull Knife (Tommy Hopkins) is on guitar and takes the Shadows instrumentals very serious. Keeping the rhythm intact is Long Arrow (Kevin Mc Keown) on drums and vocals. All in all a very entertaining bunch of musicians.

Those of you who have been supporting The Indians over the years will have some idea of what to expect but any new comers will experience a show that is full of great music and plenty of surprises.

Come and hear all of your favourite Indians songs from back through the years, performed by The Indians live on Riverside’s stage
