Phil Coulter Celebrates 50 Years in 2015

The Ivor Novello award winner and Grammy nominee has long been regarded as one of Ireland’s greatest song writers and musical legends.

He is the only Irishman to have had one of his songs (My Boy) recorded by Elvis Presley. When you add the Eurovision winning Puppet on a String and the classic Congratulations to his song-writing credits you get an insight into how big an impact he has made to popular music. He also produced all of the Bay City Rollers hit albums and wrote one of their classic hits, Shang a Lang.

But it was in the 90s that he became an international star performer in his own right with a series of solo best selling piano albums. Echoes of Home, Phil’s first solo album in twenty years, is released in October tour to coincide with his 50th celebration tour.
