ORLA MURPHY BAND: A JAZZ TRIBUTE TO STEVIE WONDER

Jazz Vocalist Orla Murphy presents material from her critically acclaimed second album ‘Wonderous Visions’ (2012). It is a jazz tribute to Stevie Wonder, which received rave reviews in Jazzwise, The Irish Times, LondonJazz, London’s Evening Standard and the Jazz Journal. A not to miss gig!

Orla has been performing all over London and throughout the UK since 2005 in a variety of reputable jazz and music venues, to great acclaim. She has also performed in Ireland, Italy and Malaysia. Since returning to Belfast from London 18 months ago, Orla’s impact on the N.I. jazz scene has been significant. This gig will largely feature material from ‘Wonderous Visions’, plus jazz standards and unique interpretations of popular songs. Orla will be accompanied by some of Ireland’s finest jazz musicians: Darragh O’Kelly (piano), Dave Redmond (bass), Dominic Mullen (drums) and Linley Hamilton (trumpet).
