Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys are renowned for their fresh approach to the American roots genres which they confidently explore and conquer. The instruments and bedrock of the band may come from bluegrass but their music takes that foundation and intertwines the pull of the past with the push of the future – a wonderful rootsy alt bluegrass sound driven by the bands incessant energy.
They created a huge impact when they made their UK debut earlier this year as one of the main visiting attractions at Shetland Folk Festival. Widely regarded as one of the outstanding acts of the event they return to play a string of tour dates and summer festivals. With roots in the Great Lakes State of Michigan, there is something to please all tastes in their live performance – from bluesy works of wonder to blistering bluegrass beauty.
