Slade dominated the UK Charts in the early 1970s, out performing chart rivals, including Wizzard, Sweet, T Rex, Suzi Quatro, Mud, Smokie, Roxy Music and David Bowie.

The band enjoyed 12 UK Top 5 singles between 1971 and 1974, three of which went straight to Number One. In fact, Slade sold more singles in the UK than any other band in the 1970s.

Reformed in 1992 by original band members Dave Hill and Don Powell, the current lineup is: Dave Hill (guitar / vocals), Don Powell (drums) and Mal McNulty (lead vocals / guitar) and John Berry (bass guitar / vocals / violin).
