Gertie O Grady hasn’t been feeling too well. After a spell in hospital she comes to stay with her niece Mary Murphy and her husband Dan. Mary tries to persuade Gertie to make a will but she’s reluctant to sign over her worldly possessions.
When Gertie apparently ‘dies’, Dan comes up with an elaborate plan to get their hands on her money.
