SHOT GLASS THEATRE PRESENTS “VOICES OFF”

Type : Theatre

Shot Glass Theatre presents “Voices Off”.

It will be a dark and stormy night (or whatever your particular poison is) at the Black Box on April 1st as Shot Glass Theatre present “Voices Off”: a shaggy ghost story with a tell-tale heart.

The year is 1941 and medium, Marjory Cakebread, is leading a Belfast theatre crowd through an exhibition of her uncanny talents. But there is an odd atmosphere in the room and both the spirits and the audience seem strangely subdued. Marjory too is unusually restive and, in order to gather her thoughts and the attention of the assembled throng, she begins to tell three of the stranger stories from her long and unusual career. Far from putting her mind at ease, however, her sense of foreboding increases even as the evening spirals towards that rarest of psychic phenomena…the physical manifestation of a ghost!

“Voices Off” is a portmanteau horror comedy written by Joseph Nawaz and John Patrick Higgins. There are ghosts in this machine, even if it won’t start first time and you can’t get the parts. Please join us – the spirits are willing (though the flesh is subject to a no nudity clause).

Is there anybody there? How about YOU?
