URSULA BURNS

Type : Gigs

Maverick musician Ursula Burns randomly fell into funny land when she accidentally won the Irish Musical Comedy Awards in 2012. ‘I Do It For The Money’, a show that combines virtuoso harping, original songs and lots of laughs had a sell out run at the Lyric Theatre last April.
At the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Ursula was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality. Singer songwriter Ursula has released four albums and been performing all her life from the circus to The Royal Albert Hall.
‘If Stewart Lee was a woman and played the harp he would be Ursula Burns….Very original, very funny and plays a mean harp too’ Kevin McAleer
‘Gothic camp with AC/DC references, a WB Yeats poem, Two Ronnies style wordplay, a bit of swearing and several candid anecdotes, Burns is a brilliant musical comedian’ Belfast Telegraph
