PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING

Type : Gigs

Following the release of a tantalising and atmospheric trailer earlier this month, which quoted John F Kennedy’s famous Rice Stadium address of 1962, Public Service Broadcasting are now excited to reveal full details of The Race For Space LP (Feb 23rd 2015 via Test Card Recordings) - as well as their biggest UK tour to date.

Tickets for the duo's return at two unique album launch shows at The National Space Centre sold out in under 24 hours, and the band now have their gaze on their biggest tour yet as they jet around the UK & Ireland in April & May 2015.

The track listing and cover art give a few clues about the content of the album, as the band seek to transport the listener back to a time when the USA & the USSR battled to gain control of a new frontier - space. Telling the story of the space race through archive footage and propaganda of the time, the album weaves its way from Sputnik’s launch in 1957 to the last mission to the moon, Apollo 17, in 1972, taking in some of the dramatic highs and lows – en route.
