2014 was an extraordinary year for Dublin quartet Girl Band. From the release of the utterly bombastic Lawman at the very start of the year, the band's psychotic, frenetic noise-rock has seen them support post-rock pioneers Slint on several dates, gain an ever-attentive fanbase in Ireland and far beyond, deliver a landmark performance at Electric Picnic 2014 and sign to Rough Trade Records.

Supported by another of the country's most exciting acts, Belfast "baroque-punk hip hop jazz" band Robocobra Quartet, the Dublin band will bring their incomparably claustrophobic and forward-thinking craft to Belfast's Bar Sub at Queen's University Students' Union on Saturday, February 7.

Presented by The Thin Air.

"Dara Kiely makes like a young, easily agitated Stephen Malkmus suffering an existential crisis in the midst of studying for his mid-terms as a death-disco revival party rages in the dorm room next door. There were no survivors." - Pitchfork

"A succinct, vicious slab of noise-pop genius that expertly blends texture, dissonance, and squealing, searing feedback with tight dynamism and an infectious hook." - Drowned In Sound

"This is maniacal music, the kind translates onto its listener and turns them into a more rabid individual. Watch out." - This Is Fake DIY

"Goddamn, this is ace." The Quietus
