Part of a new breed of Irish talent, John is at home in many genres and is emerging as one of the most exciting musicians in the country. Having studied for many years with Michael O'Toole at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, John is the first Irish Guitarist to graduate with a Masters in Music from the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles. At USC John Studied with Scott Tennant, founding member of the Grammy Award winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

John Has performed as soloist and featured player for the Irish Composers Collective, RTE National Concert Orchestra and the Dublin Philharmonic. John had toured both Ireland and the United States as Soloist and a member of the Dublin Guitar Quartet, Ireland's leading guitar ensemble.

This performance is part of the launch tour for John's Debut album, 'Irish Guitar' which is a collection of original arrangements of traditional Irish music. It has been described as "Alchemy on a six string" by Irish Music Magazine and "a masterpiece" by Fr. Pat Ahern, founder of Siamsa Tíre, Ireland's national fold theatre.

The concert will consist of music form the album as well as music for Violin and Guitar featuring Anna Jane Ryan one of Ireland's best young Violinists. There will be traditional Irish music and original arrangements of works by Handel and Rodrigo.
