Take time out from the busy festive preparations to explore a 1900s Christmas with us in Ballycultra Town. Leave the hustle and bustle of the high street behind and enjoy the gentler and quieter atmosphere of a traditional Christmas here at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum.

Candlelit Christmas Evenings
Enjoy a family evening strolling around the Town exhibit buildings discovering traditional Christmas decorations and find out how to make your own using holly, ivy, paper chains, fruit and spices.

Soak up the seasonal smells of peat fires, oil lamps, baking and seasonal spices. You can sample traditional Christmas food to the accompaniment of brass bands and carol singers.

* Santa will be warming his feet by the fire in the Old Rectory to find out what children want for Christmas.
* Children can post their letters to Santa in Ballycultra Post Office.
* Learn how to make traditional Christmas decorations.
* Watch the Magician conjure in the Picture House.
