I see life as basically tragic and futile and the only thing that matters is making little jokes.

Edward Lear

Seamus Collins and Hatch artists at the MAC, Chatterbox Productions, are back with Little Jokes, a magical tale of one boy’s struggle with loss, loneliness and growing up.

Inspired by Edward Lear's much-loved nonsense poetry, this dynamic duo use shadow puppets and live accordion music to shine a new light on the Victorian nonsense poet and artist who became a national treasure.

Anthony can’t sleep, he misses his best friend Nat and his parents are off being astronauts. Until one night, when listening to his sister read from a mysterious old book of poems, he discovers a strange new world within its pages.
