Kasabian Announce Exclusive Northern Ireland Show At Nerve Centre

Indie rockers, Kasabian are set to unleash rock chaos at their only Northern Ireland show this year in Nerve Centre, May 18, as part of Music City with support from Derry City Council

The exclusive show will see the band take to the stage with a blizzard of modern rock anthems and a preview of the highly anticipated forth-coming album, with support soon to be announced.

After headline performances at Reading and Leeds, Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend and T In The Park, the Leicester heavyweights are known for their earth-shaking sets and will be sure to please music lovers with their energetic bass lines and tireless stage presence.

Having been strongly tipped as Glastonbury headliners, 2014 is geared up to be huge for the five-piece who will headline several major festivals throughout the UK and beyond, before releasing their as yet untitled new album later in the year.

Oonagh McGillion, Director of Legacy with Derry City Council, said that the Council was delighted to support the 'major coup' with legacy funding and that the one-off gig showed the city’s appeal to big name acts.

'This gig is one of a series of events taking place across the city as part of Music City 2014. We are delighted that following on from the success of last year we are able to attract new gigs and events to the city. While music is at the heart of the year for 2014, as part of our legacy promise we look forward to bringing a wide range of cultural events that will showcase the city and allow us to tell our new story.'
