Belfast road stage

Stage two of the Giro D'Italia in Northern Ireland begins and ends in Belfast with a 218km route that passes through:

* Titanic Quarter
* Antrim Road
* Antrim
* Ballymena
* Bushmills
* The Giant’s Causeway
* Cushendall
* Larne
* Whitehead
* Carrickfergus
* North Queen Street, Belfast

The race starts at Titanic Belfast, moving on to Belfast’s Antrim Road, before heading out of the city on a loop around the beautiful North coast, visiting Antrim town and Ballymena, before heading onto Bushmills (home to the oldest licensed distillery in the world).

From here stage two passes by the iconic Giant’s Causeway, the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Northern Ireland, continuing along the Causeway Coast, described as 'one of the world's great road journeys’, with views of Scotland and passing through the picturesque village of Cushendall.

The last stretch of the journey passes through the busy coastal town of Larne, Whitehead, home to two popular golf courses, and Carrickfergus, a coastal town surrounded by 16th-century stone walls.

It then moves along the coastline of Belfast Lough, home to diverse wildlife, including seals, eagles and guillemots, and ends on North Queen Street, in Belfast city centre.
