Giro d’Italia Team Presentation

Northern Ireland is hosting the Giro d'Italia Big Start (Grande Partenza) with three days of unmissable cycling action from 9 to 11 May 2014. The Giro d'Italia is one of the cycling world's iconic events, second only to the Tour de France. It commands a huge worldwide audience and we're planning an exciting programme of Italian and pink themed events and activities during the races.

One hundred and ninety eight top professional cyclists from across the globe will be in Northern Ireland to compete and an estimated 12.5 million spectators will watch live coverage over the full three weeks of the event.

On the eve of the start of the 2014 Giro d’Italia the Team Presentation event will take place in the grounds of Belfast City Hall on Thursday 8 May from 6.30pm. This is a chance for you to see your cycling idols up close and personal. The nine super fit riders from each of the 22 teams will be presented to the public along with a range of showstopping entertainment to celebrate the Big Start in Belfast. This official ceremony will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the world’s top cyclists in flesh.

This event will be free to attend, but there will be limited capacity. Tickets will be available through the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre. To be the first to hear when the tickets will be released, register your interest and details on the Visit Belfast website.
