Open Mic UK

Open Mic UK is a nationwide singing competition which saw over 9,000 acts audition last year. This year's auditions start in August, and will search for the UK's best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists.



The music competition is open to all genres and acts can perform either covers or their own original songs. The music competition offers competitors the opportunity to audition for the chance to perform live in front of industry judges and large audiences, generating valuable media attention and exposure!



With an anticipated 12,000 people from across the country entering for 2014, one of the largest singing competitions in the UK is set to get even bigger! There is something for every singer, no matter the level of experience, so get involved.



Anyone can enter Open Mic UK - as long as you have parental consent and think you have a great voice, there's a place for you in the talent auditions. All singers are welcome to audition for the music competition!



The music competition is divided into age categories: Under 16, 16-20 and 21 and over. All types of singers, vocal performers, groups and acoustic singer-songwriters are invited to enter Open Mic UK; the singing contest's main aim is to discover an act that has the ability to become a professional recording artist.



Only the most talented of those who audition progress to perform at the Live Regional and Area Finals, and previous winners have included teen sensation Birdy.
