Derek's interest in music began at an early age when he was gigging with his brother. At the age of 17 he signed for Warner Music London with the Irish Band D-Side which took his music to international status with Meteor nominations, a Multi-Platinum Album, 3 top 10 UK Hits and several TV appearances including Top Of The Pops and GMTV.

Returning to Ireland in 2009, he decided to return to the melodies of his formative years and the sounds that he remembered from his mpother's kitchen radio. He became hook on the Nashville greats such as Brooks, Jackson and Strait.

Today, Derek's love and passion for Country music is measured in hbis song writing abilities with his debut his 'God's Plan' receiving enormous airplay. He is touring Ireland, England and Scotland to sell-out concerts and Dance Halls.

With four critically acclaimed albums including his most recent, 'Country Soul', a five piece band and thousands of fans, his is certainly living his dream.
