THE FANTASY FOREST
A brand new magical children's arts experience comes to the Mela in 2014
Tucked away in the tropical scenery of Botanic will be The Fantasy Forest, a brand new children’s arts experience featuring a diverse programme of interactive nature-inspired creative arts workshops, delivered by visual artists,craft people, dancers, musicians and storytellers.
Highlights of The Fantasy Forest include:
- A multi-artform production from Les Enfants Terribles, bringing audiences on a journey with vaudeville acts, live musicians and puppeteers as they venture through the world on a search for fascinating animals both exotic and rare.
- Dance, movement and singing workshops showcasing dance moves and genres from all over the world
- International storytellers feature in the The Storytelling Tree with traditional stories from across the world
- Nature inspired arts and craft workshops from India, Nepal, Africa, China and Latin America.
- A nature themed interaction mural wall
- Outdoor adventure sports
