Peter Schaufuss Ballet - Romeo and Juliet

The world famous Peter Schaufuss Ballet come to the Grand Opera House Belfast with a double-bill featuring Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo & Juliet is the world’s favourite love story and British choreographer Sir Frederick Ashton created one of the most revered danced versions in 1955. Originally created for the Royal Danish Ballet, his original Juliet was played by Peter Schaufuss’ mother.

On his death in 1988 Ashton bequeathed the work to Peter Schaufuss and he is dedicated to bringing Ashton’s work of genius to new audiences.
