Man On The Moon

Type : Theatre

From the company that brought you The Sweety Bottle and A Night With George, Brassneck Theatre Company return to the Grand Opera House Belfast with Man On The Moon by Pearse Elliott.

It really has been a bad day at the office for Shay O’Prey. He has just been fired from his dead-end job selling charity for a third world girl who doesn’t even exist. His girlfriend and mother of his only child has stormed out and left him. Oh, and to top it all off, the council have just repossessed his house.

And so we find him alone by the Half Moon lake at midnight as he tries to fashion sense of his crappy day. Over the course of one star-lit evening, Shay takes us on a soul-searching journey through life, love and death via his past, present and future. We listen to his own unique take on the set of events that have brought him to this point.

A riotous, calamitous and hilarious emotional rollercoaster, Man On The Moon is a tender yet comedic story about how fragile and tenuous life really is.

Please note that Man on the Moon is taking place in The Baby Grand Studio at the Grand Opera House.
