Decades after first performing in Armagh, one of Ireland’s finest amateur companies returns to the City with Sam Cree’s hilarious drama. Set in a men’s surgical ward run by the stern ward sister, aided by hard working nurse Holmes and the not so bright trainee Freda Ferguson. A Kerry supporter collides with a Cork supporting road hog on his way to the Munster Final. Their hospitalisation ends the peaceful stay of the agreeable Bert Cooper and Harry Smiley. When the ever-cheery Miss Cherry angers Phyllis and her tank-like brother Mad, and cantankerous Martha Cooper and Bert’s attractive young “niece” are added to the equation things take a hysterical turn.
