The Walled City Tattoo – a celebration of the City’s heritage told through music, dance and theatre

The spectacular ‘Walled City Tattoo’ will be an open-air event unlike anything ever seen in Northern Ireland before. A host of international and local acts will combine as 500-strong cast of musicians, dancers and actors bring Ebrington Square to life in front of a 4,000 strong capacity audience. A highlight of the production will be the Northern Irish debut of the world’s leading exhibition drum corp, the Swiss-based ‘Top Secret’. Various other international acts will perform alongside a wealth of musical and dancing talent from throughout the UK and Ireland. Through the production, the story of the city’s rich industrial and cultural history will be told, all against the beautiful backdrop of the Ebrington Clock Tower. The Walled City Tattoo promises an unforgettable theatrical evening as part of the 2013 UK City of Culture.
