Limavady Jazz and Blues Festival - Willie Byrne Band

Willie Byrne played his first professional gigs as a youngster in Belfast around 1978 and has since played with bands such as Katmandu, Clouds, Eddie Friel, Apartment, as well as support slots for the likes of Philip Lynott and Paul Brady, and more recently a stint with Them and fronting his own Willie Byrne band; who regularly play entire Rory Gallagher tribute sets. A guitar virtuoso; Willie cites Belfast based guitar legends Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore and Jim Armstrong as his main influences - one for the rockers!
