Michael Bublé, the biggest selling male vocalist this century has announced five nights in the intimate setting of The O2 in July 2013. “We have been inundated with enquires ever since Michael Bublé announced he was planning to return to Ireland, I can’t think of a better Christmas present!” stated Eamonn O’Connor, Managing Director Ticketmaster Ireland. Michael Bublé last played here in 2010 when he sold out two Aviva stadium shows, selling over 110,000 tickets. Referring to the concerts, he stated “the greatest two nights of my life. That was unbelievable. We had so much fun in Dublin”. Ticketmaster is opening all across the country at 8am this Friday to meet the demand for tickets. Tickets are priced from €79.50 and limited to 4 per transaction.
Michael Bublé’s landmark residency at London’s O2 Arena in June and July of next year sold-out in an instant when they went on sale recently. The residency marks the second longest run of sold out dates ever performed at the venue by a male vocalist.
Fast becoming an essential element of the festive season, Michael Bublé has released a Deluxe Special Edition of his ‘Christmas’ album which spent three weeks at #1 last year when it raced towards 7 million global sales. Packaged in a classy hot silver foil presentation, the Deluxe Special Edition adds Michael’s own Christmas greeting as well as four new bonus tracks: ‘The Christmas Song’; ‘Winter Wonderland’; ‘Frosty The Snowman’ (featuring The Puppini Sisters) and ‘Silver Bells’ (featuring Naturally 7). It is once again riding high in the Irish album charts.
The NBC Special ‘Home for The Holidays’ will air on RTE on December 23rd. The special filmed in his Native Vancouver has guest appearances from Rod Stewart, Carly Rae Jepson, Blake Shelton and an exciting duet with the one and only Bing Crosby! Michael will be releasing a new holiday single “White Christmas” with Bing Crosby which will be available worldwide December llth on iTunes.
In addition to the huge success of the ‘Christmas’ album, Michael Bublé’s 2009 studio album ‘Crazy Love’ has passed 7.6 million sales as his career total has exceeded the 40 million mark. ‘Crazy Love’ was also the 2009 Irish Christmas #1 album beating U2’s one week sales record in the process and has spent almost two and a half years on the album chart.
Bublé has been hard at work putting the finishing touches on his new studio album which is scheduled to be released around late March 2013.
