PADDY CASEY

Type : Gigs

Paddy Casey is facing his busiest year yet in 2017 following his latest single release ‘Everything Must Change’ last November which hit over 21,000 views on YouTube in a matter of weeks. The success of the brand new release caught the attention of many promoters abroad and with that Paddy has been invited back to London, UK to play the Emerald Sounds Festival in March as well as the popular Nell’s Jazz & Blues venue in May which is run by well known Irish promoter Vince Power.

Back home on Irish shores his diary is filling up fast with another headliner at the prestigious Whelan’s Live Bar in May which is gearing up to be yet another sell out for the Dublin musician, just like when he played there to a full crowd back in December.

Paddy Casey was also asked to headline this year’s Temple Bar Tradfest in January together with talented Irish Singer/Songwriter Mundy, which lead to an exciting collaboration between the two artists with more shows in planning across our Emerald Isle featuring both artists!

The Crumlin Musician has been on the forefront of the Irish music scene since his debut album ‘Amen (So Be It)’ in 1999, while his second release ‘Living’ became the biggest seller in Ireland, out-selling even Irish rock legends U2.

Paddy has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with U2 on their Vertigo Tour and also enjoyed a week long sold out residencies in Dublin’s prestigious Olympia Theatre & RDS. He has even been invited onto and performed on the Hit American CBS Chat Show ” The Late Show” with David Letterman.

In 2007 Paddy felt he needed to take a break from the recording having released albums, singles & demos non-stop since he became a name on the Irish music scene back in ‘99 – with barely a day off in almost a decade. Following his five year hiatus he returned with his fourth studio album ‘The Secret Life Of’ in 2012.

It was recorded, produced and mixed at home in Paddy’s kitchen by Paddy and Pat Donne. Pat worked on the first album ‘Amen (So Be It)’, as well as on the demos for all the other albums.

In 2014 Paddy Casey released a compilation album of his best and most loved hits to date ‘Best Of Paddy Casey’ which had been highly anticipated by his loyal and continuously growing fan base – receiving fantastic acclaim.
