WEST SIDE STORY

The Millennium Forum Youth Musical Group brings the dynamic musical to our stage. Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story is set in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. This milestone musical explores the rivalry between two teenage gangs, The Jets and The Sharks. Leonard Bernstein’s musical score has become a classic, with Maria, America, Somewhere and I Feel Pretty, becoming recognisable hits.
Book by Arthur Laurents. Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Entire original production directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins. Originally produced on Broadway by Robert E. Griffith and Harold S. Prince. By arrangement with Roger L. Stevens.
