CONNECTIONS ROOTS ORCHESTRA CONCERT

ArtsEkta, Northern Ireland’s leading ethnic arts organisation, proudly presents a free showcase evening embracing diversity through the music of India, Bangladesh, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, India, Ireland and Spain.

Join us on a special musical journey as twelve local musicians come together with the voices of the Roskina Russian & Harmony North Choirs, led by Belfast native, international composer and Uilleann piper, Neil Martin.

Over the last number of years the musicians have been taking part in what has been described as a truly innovative musical experience. During their time together they explored how world music is interconnected, exploring and sharing music from different cultures and genres on ethnic percussion, tambura, guitar, vocals, violin, piano and the Indian Sitar. This organic and enlightening process has culminated in a final performance showcasing the ‘connections’ of our people and our cultures.
