Hugh Francis O'Connell and Margaret Mary-Rose O' Boyle are behind the desk and live on air with the latest news in Ardnaglass... community announcements, gossip corner, new arrivals and who's "Kicked the bucket".


But life on the airwaves isn't all is seems. Hugh Francis has an unrequited love for Maraget Mary-Rose. Can he win her with his on-air charm? But Margaret Mary-Rose wants to become a professional broadcaster - is this programme her ticket out of Ardnaglass?


Margaret Mary-Rose meets a high powered BBC Executive and he's interested in their work and he's coming to the studio tonight. This is Hugh Francis and Margaret Mary-Rose's big chance....


The "Ardnaglass on the Air" radio programme depicted in the play is chaotic and farcical with phone-ins, reports from at-the-scene reporters and cryptic clues to activities taking place off-air.
