Following a sold-out gig here at The Market Place in August 2015, the legendary Mary Coughlan returns for another much-anticipated performance. Mary is one of Ireland’s most distinctive voices since
overnight success with her debut release, ‘Tired And Emotional’ in 1984. Singing songs of joy, sadness, mischief and melancholy, songs by Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith and Peggy Lee, her voice effortlessly straddling jazz, blues, chanson and pop. Accompanied on guitar by Grammy-nominee Jimmy Smyth.
