Our Town

Pulitzer Prize-winning drama ‘Our Town’, by American playwright Thornton Wilder, tells the story of the fictional small town of ‘Grover’s Corners’ between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens.

The audience is introduced to the Gibbs and Webb families who symbolize ordinary people and the play traces ‘how we were in our growing up and in our marrying and in our living and in our dying’

It is a humorous and poignant exploration of what life in Our Town means to all of us. Local amateur dramatic company, Armagh Theatre Group celebrates its fiftieth year with this production, which they first performed in 1966.
