Chop Suey is the UK's number one tribute act to iconic heavy metal masterminds System of a Down. Beginning under the name Victims of a Down in 2015, their debut tour made serious waves throughout the UK rock and metal circuit - and quickly cemented a reputation through their blistering, high-energy performances of the Armenian-American band's classics and fan favourites. Comprised of members possessing years of professional gigging experience, Chop Suey features the drum powerhouse Andre Joyzi of Breed 77, bass extraordinaire Connor Meighan of Mia Klose fame, and the soaring, powerful vocals of Martin Jackson from Emperor Chung and Confyde. The band was rebranded in 2016 as Chop Suey, with the addition of guitarist Ben Christo from goth rock legends The Sisters of Mercy. After collaborating together on New Year's Eve 2015 for a storming set of metal covers at the now sadly defunct 12 Bar Club, Andre Joyzi (Breed 77) and Ben Christo (The Sisters of Mercy) have decided to join forces once again to launch Killswitch UK - the ultimate Killswitch Engage tribute band. Joining them will be Martin Jackson of Confyde and Rich O'Donnell and Jay Gladwin of London death-metal outfit Karybdis.
