Our House The Musical

With a cast of 240 young people aged 10 to 18 years of age the Grand Opera House will stage the Belfast premiere of the Olivier Award winning show Our House.

Our House, a musical love story combines a witty and brilliantly-crafted romantic tale with the energetic and often madcap songs of the hit 80’s band Madness.

Our House is the story of Joe Casey who, on the night of his sixteenth birthday, takes Sarah, the girl of his dreams, out on their first date. In an effort to impress her with bravado, he breaks into a building site overlooking his home on Casey Street. The police turn up, at which point Joe’s life splits into two: the Good Joe, who stays to help, and Bad Joe, who flees.

Premiering in 2002, Our House was the winner of the 2003 Olivier award for Best New Musical and has since gone on to tour both nationally and internationally to great acclaim.

This production will showcase the very best of young talent from across Northern Ireland, full of enthusiasm and energy featuring hit songs such as, My Girl, I like Driving in my Car, Baggy Trousers, Wings of a Dove and many more.
