This drama is a version of Jack MacGowran’s Beginning To End, as arranged by MacGowran with Samuel Beckett’s collaboration.

The piece is made up of excerpts from The Trilogy of Novels, the full text of From An Abandoned Work, further excerpts from the trilogy, a passage from Watt and a closing section made up from several sources as well as the trilogy including Endgame, Godot, and the poem, Echos Bones.

It is presented by Dublin-based actor Declan McGauran.

Declan McGauran is an Actor, Poet, Musician and Singer from Galway living in Dublin. He has worked as a professional actor for over a decade on stage and screen and has performed both original music as well as the work of established artists whom he admires.

Declan has worked professionally on many of the most prestigious Dublin stages as well as working in television, notably RAW the series as David and Maru, the TG4 real life murder series, most notably as Angelo De Lucia. He has toured
theatre internationally and worked as an actor on both Irish feature films (Seer, Vlad the Impaler) as well as international production(Autumn\Cake).

Declan has also founded his own touring company Bradán Feasa.

He has written, built, produced and performed shows across Ireland for primary school children dealing with educational matters such as Stone Age Ireland (The Stonies!) and the Universe.

Declan has most recently advanced his
engagement with the work of Samuel Beckett which has long held a fascination for him. He has produced and performed a One Man Show drawn from the prose writings of Sam Beckett and is currently undertaking a nationwide tour of the work.

Declan holds a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in English and Sociology, having graduated with a First Class Degree, Honours, from St Patrick's College, The National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
