The award-winning Portrush Music Society has enchanted Riverside Theatre audiences for many years with their talented local cast of actors and singers. Recent productions winning critical acclaim have included Sister Act, Evita and The Addams Family. This year’s staging of Lionel Bart’s family musical Oliver! should prove equally popular.

Nothing works on the stage better than a well-crafted tale, and this show, based on Charles Dickens’s classic novel Oliver Twist, will engage the audience with its pathos and drama. It tells the story of a young orphan as he travels through the dark underbelly of London society.
A host of familiar characters, ranging from the reprobate to the inspirational, are brought to life – perhaps larger than life – in this glowing production.

The musical score features many famous numbers including Consider Yourself, Food Glorious Food, As Long As He Needs Me and It's A Fine Life. Come and join Fagin, Nancy, The Artful Dodger, Bill Sykes and of course Oliver himself, and enjoy their potent mix of fun and misery woven into this marvellous production.
