Singing Nina

Known for her powerful and emotive performances, vocalist Victoria Geelan, a native of Tyrone, and her trio of outstanding Northern Irish musicians bring their celebration of a woman who defied convention and categorisation - Nina Simone. Jazz favourites mix with stomping gospel, piano ballads and civil rights anthems to create an intoxicating insight into an artist whose musical mastery continues to inspire generations. Together, they tell the story of the life of the late and very great Nina Simone, through songs such as ‘My Baby Just Cares For Me’, ‘Feeling Good’, ‘To Love Somebody’ and ‘Ain’t Got No - I Got Life’. Like the woman who inspired it, it’s a night sure to live on in the memory of all present for many years to come.
