Mercury Prize nominee, fRoots Album Of The Year and BBC Folk Awards Winner, outstanding singer and traditional song collector Sam Lee is fast becoming accepted as a new pioneer, defining the sound, sight and texture of folksong today.
His latest album, ‘The Fade In Time’, released in March 2015, has received a 5 star review in The Guardian, and been described as ‘one of the albums of the year’. His live band, Sam Lee & Friends, carve a new acoustic sound with their homemade instrumentation using unconventional and contemporary arrangements that challenge preconceptions of what traditional folk should sound like.
