The Coronas

Type : Concerts

The Coronas are one of Ireland’s biggest and best loved rock bands and make a welcome return to Belfast on Sunday 20th December.

The Coronas hurtled into 2015 with a sold out show at the 14,000 capacity Dublin 3 Arena. It was a homecoming show of sorts since the band moved to London little over a year ago. With 3 double platinum albums on their own indie label in Ireland under their belts, the band was quickly snapped up by Island Records and signed a publishing deal with Big Life.

This summer they have played Dot to Dot, T in the Park, the V Festival and Belsonic in Belfast.

The band's journey began when childhood best friends Danny (the son of Irish folk legend Mary Black) and bassist Graham Knox formed a band at school with Conor. They played their first gig aged 15. By the time they reached university, they had recruited Dave and had called themselves The Coronas. The last eight years has seen them establish themselves as one of Ireland’s best-loved bands and sell out Ireland’s biggest venues.
