Beat Root

Back for it's second year, Moving On Music have announced the line-up for this year's Beat Root events.

Right in the middle of festival season, Beat Root – an alternative roots music series – presents four days of folk and roots music, without the need to pitch a tent.

This year the event welcomes Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh (The Gloaming/This Is How We Fly), psychedelic samba, distorted jazz and Afro-punk in the form of Metá Metá, English folk hero Chris Wood, and a double bill of Colorado native Josephine Foster and Scottish psych folk phenomenon Trembling Bells.

All events take place in the Crescent Arts Centre between 07 and 10 September. And they are all Bring Your Own...

This year's line-up includes:

Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh with support from Amy McAllister.
Metá Metá
Chris Wood,
with support from Conor Caldwell and Danny Diamond.
Josephine Foster & Trembling Bells

Tickets for each show are priced between £10 and £15, but a festival ticket is available for £30.

More information and ticket links are available now.

Moving On Music have a number of other events coming up, including Tempered - another of its weekend series of events.
