Coming from humble beginnings in the outskirts of Mullingar, The Academic are one of the most exciting new bands coming out of Ireland right now and are tipped for major international success.
Having set the music scene alight over the last 18 months with their energetic live shows, the band have already played with the likes of Noel Gallagher, the Strokes and 21 Pilots, as well as playing to a sold out Vicar Street in Dublin.
Debut single, the Choice Music Prize nominated 'Different' quickly established the band on the musical landscape in 2015, followed up by their EP 'Loose Friends' the lads have been tearing up venues across the UK, Ireland and Europe with their infectious guitar driven brand of Indie Rock.
The Academic play Millers Live at the Canal Court Hotel on Saturday 18 June.
