Chromatic Nights...

With the main Lavery's bar having given up on live shows years ago, we were thrilled to hear that their latest venture, the Woodworkers, would revive this tradition.

Set in what used to be a music shop on Bradbury Place (and just two doors up from Lavery's itself) the Woodworkers is a beautiful new bar that describes itself as "providing a fastidious array of beers from our rotating taps and a diverse range of high quality spirits". And some great music, thanks to former AU editor Chris Jones.

Having been approached by the bar for ideas about entertainment, Chris pitched a night of "leftfield electronic and guitar music that's not focused on the dancefloor but which has plenty of style and groove to it" and so, Chromatic was born.

The bar is to be commended for offering something a little different on the weekends, and with a series of gigs we hope are set to continue, the Woodworkers could quickly become an essential asset to the local music scene.

Upcoming shows include Go Wolf on 14 February and Jape from Dublin on 07 March.

Chromatic happens every Saturday night at the Woodworkers on Bradbury Place. Keep up to date with news and live shows at the links below...
