Out To Lunch Festival

Now in its tenth year, the Out To Lunch Festival will be back again this January "to banish the post-festive blues with affordable lunchtime performances plus an array of evening shows".

Now, every year we all talk about how we couldn't imagine the festival bettering a previous line-up, how such-and-such an event is unmissable, and while all those things are very cliched, sometimes they are often also very true.

From 02 - 25 January, the Out To Lunch Festival takes up residence in the Black Box in Belfast, bringing music, comedy, literature and drama to brighten an otherwise dreary month - and with most shows costing on average £7/£8, it is a fine way to start the year.

Highlights for TBL this year include, Edinburgh hip hop three-piece Young Fathers, The Slits guitarist Viv Albertine talking about her life and music, The Possibilities Are Endless - a film about Edwyn Collins who had “the contents of his mind effectively deleted after experiencing a stroke” and his recovery - and Nowhere Is Home - a film capturing the final nights of Dexys London residency at the Duke of York Theatre.

Out To Lunch Runs from 02 - 25 January 2015 in the Black Box, Hill Street, Belfast. Tickets range from £4 to £20. More info and tickets can be found here - Out To Lunch 2015.
